24 Hours In Cardiff

The capital of Wales, Home of Cardiff University, The Wales Millennium Centre and the beautiful Cardiff Bay. It is a city that has something to offer everyone. 

While it’s nearly impossible to see every stunning part of this city in 24 hours, this tour through the city should help you see it as if you’re one of the locals!


11 AM


Start the day at one of Cardiff’s many independent cafes with an amazing breakfast.
It’s hard to choose among places like The Early Bird, with their amazing avocado on toast, mouth-watering doughnuts and delicious coffee, The Stag with their all-day breakfast or Ramon’s Café for the classic greasy spoon experience. Whichever you chose will keep satisfy your breakfast cravings and make your soul smile!  


1 PM  

Burn those calories with a beautiful walk through Bute Park

4 PM


Take the shortest possible train journey to the Cardiff Bay to watch the sunset and if you’re still feeling super active take a scenic walk along the barrage!   



6 PM

Catch a play or performance at the Wales Millennium Centre and follow it up with a lovely dinner at Pier 64.

…Or something a little more adventurous…discover a unique dining experience at Cardiff prison’s restaurant the Clink.



9 PM

For a night out on the town, Cardiff has plenty to offer from bars like Buffalo, Ten Mill Lane and Lab 22 to clubs like Pryzm, Glam and Retro (not to forget the famous Student Union).     


2 AM (Or later if you're a true party animal!)

Even after all that food, if you’re still hungry finish your great night out at the classic Family Fish Bar, Mama’s Kebab House (Salisbury Road) or the famous chip alley (Caroline Street).   


11 AM

Finally, before going home the next day make sure to walk around the beautiful arcades and have a coffee at Barker Coffee.
